In a press release issued by Moroccanoil, it was explained that both Moroccanoil and Avon Products have resolved all disputes.

The disputes included Moroccanoil’s challenge to Avon’s trademarks and trade dress for its Advance Techniques hair care products containing argan oil; as well as Avon’s challenges to the validity of Moroccanoil’s trademark registrations and oppositions to Moroccanoil’s trademark applications.

After litigation in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, plus numerous proceedings in trademark offices worldwide, the disputes have been settled. Both parties have agreed to a confidential settlement agreement.
